Vision for the Visionaries. Free cataract surgeries and general health diagnostics for the elderly — held every year on 16 March in memory of Late Sh. Birendra Pal Singh.
Birendra Ji was the visionary — the founding spirit of this family's values. A man of principles, courage, and a deep sense of duty to those around him. His name, "Bir," means brave, and his life embodied that word.
The Birprem Swasthya Sewa is held every year on his death anniversary — 16 March. It is our annual act of remembrance, carried out not in mourning, but in service. We honor him by giving sight to those who have lost it, and health checks to those who have been neglected.
Every 16 March, we bring a full medical team to our community. All services are completely free for eligible beneficiaries.
Restoring vision for elderly patients who have been living in avoidable darkness due to financial constraints. Surgeries are performed by qualified ophthalmic surgeons in a safe, dignified setting. Many patients describe this as the most meaningful day of their later years.
Full eye examination for elderly patients who cannot afford regular optometric care. Where glasses are required, we provide them. Simple interventions like this can completely transform quality of life for an elderly person living alone.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, haemoglobin, and basic health screenings. For many elderly patients in rural areas, this annual camp is the only health check-up they receive all year.
Where our team identifies serious conditions that require hospital care, we initiate referrals to our partner hospitals and, where applicable, cover the cost of follow-up treatment through the foundation's other wings.
The Birprem Swasthya Sewa is held on 16 March every year — the death anniversary of Late Sh. Birendra Pal Singh. This date is sacred to us, and the camp is our act of tribute: doing good in his name, on his day.
The exact location and registration details for each year's camp are published on our Foundation Updates page approximately four weeks before the event. Check back regularly as the date approaches.
Check This Year's Camp Details →The Birprem Swasthya Sewa is open to elderly residents — primarily those above 55 years of age — who cannot afford private eye care or medical diagnostics. BPL card holders and low-income households are given priority.
No formal application is needed to attend the camp. Details of the venue and timing are shared via local government partners, hospitals, and our Updates page well in advance. Community members may simply arrive on the day.
